Introducing Chernobylite on PS5

The game starts very well and all the content is correct. It can get a bit repetitive after a few hours, but the key aspect here is the atmosphere. The misty, leafy setting fits the tone of the game perfectly. It has sci-fi elements where you play as a scientist searching for your missing wife. It’s a much less realistic game and involves lots of monsters and even multiple dimensions with portals.

The visual presentation is very nice. Considering it’s not a AAA game, it looks stunning. Especially the PS5 version we played. Compared to the PS4 version, it’s darker and the lighting has improved a lot. The sound design accompanies and adapts perfectly to all and offers an unforgettable atmospheric experience that is worth playing.

expect the unexpected

At first you might think the game is your typical survival horror, but it has a lot more at its core. For example, you have the option of creating a base for yourself, which can be personalized. The more you play, the more you expand your base and you have to take care of the survivors. They need to be fed and they need resources, but you can send them on missions and such.

The game is divided into smaller maps/sections. It adds a lot to the game. The first thoughts we had were comparisons to the rebooted Hitman series or another Polish game in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. Your choices matter! Another thing that isn’t typical of your survival horror game is that a lot of choices matter. This can impact the story, the world, and your crew members.

Conclusion of Chernobylite on PS5

The game is definitely worth playing, especially if you like this type of games. It’s a great way to fill the void at least for now while waiting for Stalker 2.
