The new Metro Art: Digital Shorts series at 7th St/Metro Center and Hollywood/Highland Stations features animation and video by artists Adebukola Bodunrin, Caress Reeves, Jantsankhorol Erdenebayar (Jantsa), Jisoo Chung, Kiel Johnson and Rebecca Bruno with Delaram Pourabdi.

Runners passing through 7eSt/Metro Center and Hollywood/Highland stations should keep their eyes peeled for a new series of short Metro Art videos on large format digital screens in stations.

The new Metro Art: Digital Shorts series offers cyclists small pieces of motion-themed video and animation art. The videos are brief interludes interspersed with informative and advertising content from Metro. The pilot project includes six animations and videos created by artists.

Call for Artists • 2022 Artist Pool for Digital Media Opportunities

If you’re an artist wondering how you could showcase your own digital artwork on a Metro display in the future, you’re in luck!

Along with the release of Metro Art: digital short films, Metro Art has just launched a Call for Artists. The RFP initiates Metro Art’s first-ever artist pool for digital media opportunities. Artists who work in digital media – including video, digital animation, stop-motion, single-channel video and performance video documentation – are welcome to apply. The call for artists for the 2022 Artist Pool for Digital Media Opportunities is open until Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 5 p.m. PDT.
